Pr. Katz lecture on Human Side of Innovation (II):

Information Seeking Criteria:

1.   Familiarity and ease of use

2.   Geographical distance (as small as moving away to the next building according to Pr. Allen)

3.   Minimize “psychological cost”

It is only after the effects of the above criteria that people might seek a more “optimal” source(s) of information.
